A collection of short stories inspired by the Christmas holiday and revolving around The Mysterious Bookshop. Features stories by Mary Higgins Clark, Lawrence Block, Ed McBain, Donald Westlake, Thomas H. Cook, Anne Perry, Andrew Klavan, and more.
Each year, The Mysterious Bookshop proprietor Otto Penzler commissions an original Christmas story by a leading mystery writer. These stories are then produced as pamphlets and given to customers of the bookstore as a Christmas present. Here, the first seventeen tales have been collected in one volume.
Some of these stories are humorous, others suspenseful, and still others are tales of pure detection, but all of them together make up a charming collection and a perfect Christmas gift for all ages.
